Staking
Stake your Stardust within the game to earn Stardust EXP and Star Chests throughout the season.
Stardust earned on your planet during a season is automatically considered staked. As your balance grows, you passively earn staking EXP without needing to take any extra action.
Unstaking
Unstaking requires a 2-day cooldown. Once initiated, your Stardust is returned after the cooldown period. During the cooldown, the unstaking balance does not earn EXP or contribute to Star Chest progress.
How Stardust EXP is Calculated
There are two ways to earn staking EXP — they work differently.
Native Staking (constant balance)
When you stake Stardust directly, your staked balance is fixed. EXP accumulates as a simple rectangle — the same amount every second.

The 60 rate is Star Chest EXP per Stardust per hour, equivalent to 1 SCE per minute. staked is your displayed Stardust amount, not the raw on-chain precision value. The separate 3,000 Stardust value is used for leaderboard scoring, not staking EXP.
Planet Production (growing balance)
Stardust produced by your planet is automatically staked the moment it's earned. Between claims, your balance grows linearly at your current production rate. The EXP integral breaks into two parts — a rectangle for Stardust you already had, and a triangle for new production accumulating over the claim window.
- Rectangle — EXP from Stardust you already had: balance × t
- Triangle — EXP from new production during the period: rate × t² / (2 × 3600)

The earlier you earn Stardust, the more time it spends staked, and the more EXP it generates.
Staking Benefits
Star Chests
Earn Star Chest EXP (SCE) that unlocks chests:
1 Stardust staked = 1 SCE per minute
Star Chests distribute the staker treasury allocation pro-rata in expected value. More SCE gives a larger expected share of the 20% staker allocation for that season.
Staking power only accrues towards lootboxes during an active season. Between seasons, staked balances are preserved but do not generate Star Chest progress.
Season 3 Star Chest Rewards
Star Chest reward weights and amounts for Season 3 are TBD.
Only players with a planet in the current season can earn staking EXP. Staking EXP is only earned during an active season — no EXP is accumulated between seasons.
