Changelog
Season 2 → Season 3
Factions
- Added the Factions feature. Players must select Bastion, Aether, or Covenant before minting a planet.
- Faction standings are based on the top 100 planets in each faction and update hourly. See Faction Points for how faction standings relate to leaderboard performance.
- Added faction placement rewards from the total seasonal treasury prize pool:
- 1st place: 15%, divided evenly among faction members
- 2nd place: 5%, divided evenly among faction members
- 3rd place: 0%
Leaderboard
Updated Season 3 leaderboard payouts from mint-fee multipliers to fixed SOL payouts. The fixed payout schedule is calibrated to add up to the 50% leaderboard treasury allocation:
| Tier | Percentile | Payout |
|---|---|---|
| Explorer | Top 1% | 0.3 SOL |
| Diamond | Top 5% | 0.16 SOL |
| Platinum | Top 10% | 0.13 SOL |
| Gold | Top 30% | 0.1 SOL |
| Silver | Top 50% | 0.05 SOL |
| Bronze | Top 70% | 0.02 SOL |
Mining
- Updated Mining from production-scaled rewards to season-paced rewards.
- Mining output no longer increases from building levels, planet type bonuses, faction bonuses, items, or passive production.
- Metals, Gas, and Crystal now use the same mining base reward. The selected resource only controls where the reward goes, and Stardust remains unmineable.
- Base mining rewards use
100 * (2 + 10 * season_progress^1.5), whereseason_progressis the clamped portion of the season that has elapsed. - Base mining rewards start at 200 per energy and rise on a backloaded ramp to 1,200 per energy by season end.
- The existing reward roll is unchanged: normal mining pays 80% to 120% of the base reward, while a 2% jackpot pays 10x the base reward.
Supply Drops
- Added Supply Drops, a Season 3 feature that lets players spend planet-earned Stardust for drops on that planet.
- Supply Drops can contain Metals, Gas, Crystal, Stardust, or up to 10,000 SKR.
- Only Stardust earned on the planet can be used to purchase Supply Drops. Outside Stardust balances cannot be used for drops.
